journal pages: december 12 - 18

I’ve been back in Houston for a week, and it’s been one of those weeks where it feels like it’s flown, and also lasted at least few months. You know those weeks? Like, I can’t believe it’s already Friday; also, was it only a week ago that I was in the UK? Weird.

Part of the reason for the disconnect has to do with how busy this week has been: I’ve been working like a demon on a project that I can’t wait to tell you about; also, we’ve decorated the house for the holidays, and have been buying Christmas presents — it’s been a lot.

But I’m not complaining: it’s been great to see my parents again (after a month away!), I’m so happy to have Alex back home from university (the three of us are back together!), and the weather’s been pretty great (a nice change after rainy England).
