Thank you for this post; excellent reminders! (I read it, tho will come back later to try the audio. I’m still tending to treat Substack like the old (dearly departed, definitely missed😂) google reader…)

Thanks so much for reading! And obviously, if audio’s not your thing, please don’t sweat it. I’m thinking of it more as an option for those who prefer it. If I do this going forward, I’ll always have both. ❤️

I love hearing your voice! And, I like that we have the recording and the words. I like being able to refer back to your suggestions. And another note, I was sworn in for my county school board in December and feel good about acting local! It is one of the few things I am doing that is keeping me sane. And, I have been sharing The Lightmaker’s Manifesto more than ever and using the exercises in the book in my class and leadership co-facilitating. Thank you!

I tend to like to read words. But that's me. Think locally. That is really helping me get through this. XX

You have a nice voice, Karen; I enjoyed listening. I also enjoy reading, so I'm glad to see you'll always include that option. Wonderful suggestions; thank you so much.

I listened to the audio with the page open to scan along with. Your voice is soothing, and that added to the message, I think. Thank you for writing it. I've already shared it.

I so appreciate the audio! The text is helpful (**prints and tapes to wall**), but having the ability to pause intentionally what I'm doing, break my eyes from the screen, and listen felt like such a gift. Thank you. If capacity allows, I, for one, would love to keep it.

I enjoyed reading your post and then I listened to it! I needed to hear this- thank you- and twice in different formats was so grounding and inspiring! I loved your Lightmaker’s Manifesto book and getting to talk with you about it via Stasia’s RYT book club meet up. Time for me to reread it!! 💕

Hi Karen!

Wonderful idea with the audio, thanks.

May you share which technology you use for recording?

Special mic? Extra podcast-studio? Or just in the calm of your office with the iphone?

Many thanks in advance!

Nicole

Thanks for the feedback! I used an external mic, and recorded using Cleanfeed.net. Hope that's helpful!

I ordered a case of The Lightmaker’s Manifesto in January and that’s my go to gift, my door prize contribution, and a part of so many conversations this month.

I so appreciate it and you, in this time. I feel oh so slightly more prepared to meet this moment having done the work it suggests.
