That was a beautiful visual story, Karen. Thank you for sharing glimpses of your slowdown with us. This morning I woke up way earlier than I intended and was lying in bed with thoughts spinning in my head, so I got up and came downstairs to the kitchen, made a hot cup of tea, lit two candles and watched the sickle moon tangled in the bare branches of the maple tree against the inky sky set and the light slowly brighten over freshly fallen snow. And I wrote in my journal- let the spinning unfurl on the page, and expand into something beyond the spin. The image of your sparkler throwing off sparks made me smile- we used to light those when I was a kid. I haven’t seen those since then. Made me want to light one. I wonder where I could get those up here in eastern Canada. 🤔 Hope you both returned feeling rejuvenated for the week ahead. 🙏🌱☀️
Ahhh. I felt myself relaxing just by watching your beautiful video. So great that you and Marcus (and Soca!) are prioritizing slowing down, exhaling, and taking care of yourselves. A great example for us all. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much! (And I got the sparklers on Amazon!)
Front-load self-compassion! Absolutely. Tough to remember to do that, but not if we make it a practice.
SO TOUGH. In fact, I'm not sure I understood this concept until quite recently. But it's SO important.
Really lovely video, Karen.
Aw, thanks, Leisa!! ❤️
Love the video! I went to a Getaway (had no idea they rebranded) for July 4th years ago to escape the fireworks for my dog and it was perfect.
Oh that's SUCH a smart idea. Our dog hates fireworks!
Thank you for continuing to make light in this world...
❤️❤️❤️

Oh wow. I think we need this concept near me ☺️ In fact near anyone who needs it.
Take a look at the link -- it might just exist!
