Our time in the UK this year has come to an end: Alex has returned to her uni in Boulder, Colorado, and tomorrow, Marcus and I return to Houston. It’s been a lovely little vacation for the three of us.
As immigrants, the American Thanksgiving holiday doesn’t hold a lot of nostalgia for Marcus and me, but the meaning behind it — gratitude — is one of our family’s core values. And so, even though we were outside of the US this Thanksgiving, we definitely doubled down on thankfulness.
Because England is so lovely, even in the winter, I brought my new camera with me to give it a spin. The video at the top of this post illustrates what thanksgiving looked like for us this year. I hope you enjoy watching it — I certainly loved shooting it!
And as for my wish for us all this week: that re-entry into our regular lives goes gently. In the freneticism that often arrives as the year draws to a close, may we find moments of cozy and ease.
Have a great week, lovelies.
